OUTFIT DETAILS:
Dress: Swapped via Taylor, Nothing but a Pigeon
Hat: UO
Cardi: Target
Bag: Vintage, belonged to grandmother
Shoes: Miss L Fire, Modcloth

Long time, no blog, right?  Yes, I'm a bit guilty of it I suppose, but summers are made for getting out and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, so I can't make any apologies for that.  The lake has been where it's at lately and I'm just enjoying every last bit before our short summers here in northeast, PA start to cool down again.

Anyhow, I'm back today with a swap from my Flock Together friend, Taylor or Nothing but a Pigeon.  This is my second time around styling this polka-dotted-pretty and this time around I kept the colors more subtle and pastel which meant it was the perfect opportunity to break out my ice cream shoes.  Though I admit, this is much more dressed up than what I've been lately as days around the house or at the lake lend themselves to bathing suits or shorts and a tied up button down, there's nothing like putting on a pleated polka dotted dress and going out for coffee and chocolate filled croissants...and for groceries.  Yes, I do dress up to do my grocery run at times.  How about you?

Well that's all for now.  Wishing you a terrific Tuesday!

Outfits: House Boat // Mata Traders Remix Challenge

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Headscarf & Bag: Vintage, thrifted
Sash: Vintage, gifted from friend, Andrea of Sherwood Hollow
Shoes: JCrew Outlet

Hello and happy Tuesday all,

I'm back with part 3 of my Mata Traders challenge of remixing their Summerfest House Print Dress.  This time around I wanted to keep is casual and easy.  You know, an outfit perfect for picnicking, walking the trails in my neighborhood, and grabbing iced coffees with a friend.

I'm not an overly casual person and most days if I am out and about I wear a dress however, I am always on the hunt for dresses that are breezy and comfortable.  This dress truly fits the bill in that department.  Summers here in Northeast PA aren't deathly hot, so layering this piece with a simple tee and adding a headscarf and my jelly flats were perfect for this particular day of adventuring and taking in the summer sun. And as for my little boat bag - it stowed away a couple of granolas, my lipgloss, and favorite pair of sunnies and I was good to go.

How do you dress for comfort in the summertime?

Final part: Monochrome all the way...

Outfits: Play Date

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Top (Dress) Swap from Dus of The Cuddly Cacti
Denim Jacket: Target
Skirt, Sandals, Brooch: Vintage, thrifted
Floral Crown: DIY

Family photo time!  Don't mind me...these little moments with my band of men are what life is made of at the moment and I wouldn't change a thing.  An evening at the playground in our neighborhood was in order after a round of errands was made.  It's always a good thing to end the day on a sweet note.  So we ran and we jumped and we played...and you bet we had fun!  On a side note - Thank you to Dus of Cuddly Cacti for sending this embroidered dress...well, top the way I wore it... my way to borrow.  Um, talk about a perfect, easy and breezy summer piece.

So tell me, what are some of your favorite moments of this summer so far?

Outfits: Summer Spirit

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Dress: c/o Oasap
Scarf, Brooch, Bag: Vintage, thrifted/antique mall
Shoes: Modcloth

Hello there,

So this is the spirit of summer in my neighborhood.  The lake is perfect this time of year.  I mean, it's not big or grand, but it's just right.  On this day, one of the gal pal's and I grabbed some iced coffees and headed down to the bottom of my neighborhood where the lake resides, just to laugh, and chat, and breathe in the fresh air.  Oh and there was plenty of frolicking involved too...ha!  Anyhow, summer is my favorite season, because of moments like this not to mention that dressing only involves throwing on a dress and sandals and calling it a wonderful day.  And yes, a wonderful day it is.

Happy July darlings.  Wishing you a bowlful of sunshine.

Love bunches,
